The North Alabama Zoological Society (NALZS) is seeking high schools within Madison County, Madison City, Limestone County, Athens City, and Morgan County school districts to help us offer a unique opportunity for high school students. This new program called the Junior Zoological Society (JZS) will help students learn to advocate for and implement conservation practices in our local area through a new program called the Junior Zoological Society. Students within JZS chapters will gain practical life skills such as public speaking, advocacy, problem solving, and leadership through guided local conservation projects and volunteerism. These conservation projects will require students to utilize scientific and engineering practices, in addition to applying classroom learning to real world situations.

Space will be limited during our first year.

Please send Email to

education@nalzs.org for more information and register for the virtual information session.
