Methods of Conservation: Land Stewardship

Did you know that owning and maintaining your own land can be a method of conservation? Land Stewardship is the conservation of the natural resources on your property so land surrounding your property and water flowing from your property continues to flourish. The motives surrounding respectable land stewardship can seem a little contradictory because they are both self-serving and altruistic. Self-serving because the landowner is reaping the rewards of their bountiful land for years to come. Altruistic because landowners also want to be good neighbors and maintain their land and the water that flows from it for surrounding landowners.
