Did you know that there are some chemicals in pharmaceuticals that our bodies will not digest or absorb? When those chemicals leave our bodies, they enter the waterways through sewage systems or runoff. These chemicals can alter the number of females to males, lower fertility, and cause deformities in fish and other organisms. Current evidence shows effects of exposure can be multigenerational which means that it affects organisms that were never directly exposed to the chemicals.
