There’s a chance you may have seen some headlines recently regarding the zoo project.
We want you to know that while big projects like this experience hiccups from time to time, the zoo project is still progressing forward. Thankfully, we have a team of dedicated volunteers and the support of local officials and partners who are meeting these challenges and remain committed to "a zoo for you, North Alabama!"
In short, we are still very much in play for the proposed zoo site. Contrary to some headlines, Lansing and other prospective developers still have us in their long-term plans. Read a letter from our Executive Director for more details:
