Learn about animals in new and exciting ways...right inside your classroom.

Preschool- Kindergarten Outreach:
Allow students the opportunity to see animals up close and personally! 2-3 animal ambassadors from the North Alabama Zoological Society will visit your classroom offering an opportunity for kids to learn fun facts about these cool creatures! Visits are 25-30 minutes long, available between September through May with a maximum of 25 students per session. Three consecutive programs maximum. Two months’ advanced request is recommended. Cost: $200 for first program and $150 for a second consecutive program on the same day and at the same location. Travel fees may apply.

School Assembly Outreach:
Designed for large groups (30-80 children.) This 45-minute program will introduce your students to different animal species, habitats, and best care practices. Interactive programs feature 2-3 animal ambassadors. Cost begins at $300 for the first program and $250 for a second consecutive program on the same day and at the same location.

Classroom Outreach (K-6th):
Interactive programs feature 3-4 animal ambassadors and focus on conservation, sustainability, best practices in animal care and welfare, and most importantly...the value of connection between people and animals. Programs are 45-minutes long and are catered for grades K-6 with a maximum of 30 students per session. Both are available September through May. Two months’ advanced request is recommended. Cost: $200 for first program and $150 for a second consecutive program on the same day and at the same location. Travel fee may apply.

Interactive programs feature 3-4 animal ambassadors and focus on conservation, sustainability, and the value of connection between people and animals. Customized Outreach:
(All Ages) Work with the NALZS Education staff to build a personalized program based upon Current ALSDE Standards and customized classroom lessons. Interactive programs feature 3-4 animal ambassadors. Cost begins at $300 for the first program and $250 for a second consecutive program on the same day and at the same location. Travel fee may apply.

Homeschool Outreach:
All classes can be adapted for a homeschool or other environment, classes must be held in a public location. Cost is reflected above in outreach sessions.

Community Outreach:
Perfect for birthday parties, community events, or senior citizen activities. 3-4 animals are presented one at a time while a handler speaks about the animal’s habitat, any conservation issues, and time for questions. Programs are 45-minutes long and are adapted for all ages with a maximum of 30 people per session. Cost: $250 for first program and $200 for a second consecutive program on the same day and at the same location. Travel fee may apply.
